This cafe is fairly typical for what you'd expect for the ice cafe portion.  Beautifully crafted desserts in tall glasses that make you wonder if the calorie intake is worth it.  I'd say it's a mixed bag.  I had the ice-lasagna just to be different from everyone else in our group.  Although it looked like a little casserole dish of lasagna and was beautifully crafted, I wouldn't say it was something I'd order again.  Mostly made of vanilla, white chocolate and strawberry sauce, it seems a bit on the pricy side for what you get.  I am one of the only people that actually finished my dessert though so I think it's at least a decent portion size.

Everyone else had these enormous desserts which their eyes were clearly bigger than their stomachs as they ate about half the desserts. So sad to see that much food go to waste, but at least the price is accounted for.  I would strongly suggest that one dessert is purchased for two people.

We did not try any of the warm food on their menu.

The place itself is located fairly close to the Brandenburg gate so, yes, it's certainly a tourist restaurant and we're tourists so nothing wrong there.  It's also NOT in Italy so I think it's really funny that people are saying it's not authentic. It's a German's spin on Italian food.  It's set up like a quaint war-time era Italian restaurant and has a very large patio area which I'm sure is wonderful on warmer evenings.  We were there in March so it wasn't exactly outdoor-seating whether (well, for someone from Los Angeles anyhow) though the outside was fairly full.

Like others have mentioned, this place is a tourist trap located on Unter den Linden, the main street to Brandenburg Gate in Mitte, Berlin. We were cold and wanted some comfort food, plus they offered some items that didn't include meat.
The waiter was, well, a complete prick. I know a little of the German language but by far from fluent. He knew we were Americans and spoke so fast we couldn't understand him. He totally embarrassed me when he loudly said  "you are not understanding what I am saying." No shit! We were tired and hungry, so we stayed.
The food was decent and my pasta with vegetables was tasty. My husband's tuna salad was just ok.
I understand they stay busy because they are located right in the middle of everything, but if you can, avoid this place. The waiter even had the nerve to serve our bill with a note that stated tips are welcome. Your tip is to treat customers with respect, then you will get a monetary tip. Understand what I am saying?

The food was bad. The service was worse.
I came with 5 of my friends and we didn't enjoy the experience one bit... The quality of the food didn't live up to the expectations the price had made... Don't eat here unless no other restaurant is opened, you will regret the decision to come here!

Terrible service. Asked for dressing on salad, server practically spit in my face. Told me this isn't McDonalds. Ordered bread for appetizer, asked if there was a possibility of getting some sort of tomato sauce, he again said this isn't McDonalds. Could not have been more rude. My sisters pizza was not what she ordered and the waiter never came back so she couldn't even say anything.. food was alright. Desserts looked cool but couldn't imagine sitting there any longer, so that's disappointing

Great Italian food, and great service. One of the rare thinks in Germany. The chef is actually Italian and she made an amazing ravioli for us. Thank you
